Invitation - Opening Ceremony Wōjē Shōŋŋ (we have come a long way) An Exhibition of Beadwork Online

Wōjē Shōŋŋ (we have come a long way) An Exhibition BY AKWELE SUMA GLORY

Welcomed Address

Good morning, invited guests, artists, ladies and gentlemen and dear friends.
It is with immense pleasure that I warmly welcome you all to the exhibition "Wōjē Shōŋŋ” (we have come a long way), an installation of beadwork by the Akwele Suma Glory, a multimedia artist.

The exhibition is showcasing the timeless beauty of traditional and contemporary bead jewellery. Today, we gather to celebrate craftsmanship, culture, and the artistry woven into every delicate bead that adorns these stunning pieces.

The works offers a vibrant tapestry of colors, shapes, and designs that narrate stories of heritage, tradition, and creativity. Each bead meticulously chosen, every creation a testament to the skilled hands and rich cultural legacy behind it.

This exhibition is more than a mere display; it's a journey through history, connecting us to the roots of craftsmanship and celebrating the diversity and glory of beadwork from Ghana with a blend of contemporary beads collected from various parts of the world.

I invite you to immerse yourselves in this cultural mosaic, to appreciate the dedication and talent that has gone into crafting each piece, and to explore the intricate beauty that lies within every strand of beads.

Thank you for gracing this event with your presence. May this exhibition inspire your purse, appreciation, and admiration for the art of bead jewellery. Enjoy this experience and indulge in the stories these beads tell.  Thank you once again, and you are all welcome

Madam Charity Galley, PROCUREMENT SPECIALIST.
