In this year's International Women’s Day, The Women’s Arts Institute Africa (wAi Africa) in partnership with the World Bank is hosting women artists to take stock of their creative journeys and to draw inspiration from the call to invest in women to create works that reiterate the need for additional resources into women’s creative work.
The conversation and workshop serve as an opportunity for
participants to tell their stories in ways that empowers them and other women
to keep doing what brings meaning to their life despite the numerous
challenges. Success and failure propel each other; therefore, the art
conversation and workshop would enable women sculptors, photographers,
painters, and poets to accept their current conditions of practice while they
work on achieving better versions.
